We are proud to announce in partnership with Orisonic, the new X2 EMAT thickness gauge. This handy tool is small, quick and easy to use, capable of ultrasonic measurement of wall thickness of virtually any metallic object. As with all EMAT technology, it requires no messy couplant gel or surface preparation – just touch the ‘pen style’ gauge to the surface and get an instant thickness readout! Not only can it work through coatings of up to 1-2mm thickness, but it can also tell you the coating thickness at the same time! A great little tool for anyone who wants to perform ultrasonic field inspection without the hassle of conventional UT. In addition, it comes with a wireless connection capable of transmitting real-time data to a handy tablet, allowing data storage and retrieval, waveform visualisation, B-scans and more!
